These charts analyze trends in the daily volume: The top chart plots the average daily volume on a monthly basis for MER over the past 5 years. Blue marks the de-seasonalized trend, which is a least squares linear regression applied to the MER prices after seasonal variations have been filtered out. Typical Seasonal Patterns might show a January Effect, and possibly some quarterly distortions due to the periodic release of financial reports.
